The Internet ignites the hot start of the lions against the leaders

The Detroit Lions She endured a stinging first-week defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles, but with Washington’s leaders in town, things went the other way.

While it felt as if the lions looked the same as the old outfit in the first week of the season, things took a decisive change early in week 2. Early and often, lions were scattered all over the leaders, and their effort turned the internet on. Fire.

A lot of people saw Detroit’s effort and came away very impressed with what the team was able to do in stacking arenas and impact plays.

Sports Illustrated writer Albert Breer noted the huge discrepancy in yardage the teams had early on, indicating the team’s dominant performance.

“Yards of melee… Lions: 244 Leaders: 27. Detroit, leads 22-0 at home,” Brier chirp.

NFL Network Personality Rachel Bonita stated simply that she didn’t believe the Lions were doing so well.

“black?! ??????” , she chirp.

NFL Network personality Cynthia Freelund was also surprised, to say the least. As a Lions fan, seeing such absolute dominance actually made her very happy.

“I’m kind of close to crying guys,” hey chirp.

Former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker put it best. As he said, black is a chariot.

“Black Chariot,” Tucker chirp.

NFL Network host Rich Eisen also summed things up perfectly, but kept his commentary to a minimum, tweeting a hungry lion.

Finally, Barstool Sports PFT Commenter had a strong view, simply saying that the Lions might be the best team in history.

“The Detroit Lions might be the best team in the history of the world,” said chirp.

This could be uncharted territory for the Lions in terms of looking good and making some positive buzz rather than the usually negative headlines at a football match early in the season.

Amon Ra Saint Brown, and others make huge plays for lions

Early in the first half, Amon Ra St. Brown made a wide showing to attack Detroit, earning a pass to lead the team into the end zone.

Here’s a look at the play:

However, Saint Brown wasn’t alone in making the plays. The Lions had a nice 50 yards from running back D’Andre Swift early in the game to set the points.

Additionally, Josh Reynolds widely earned a touchdown pass to add to the leaders’ pain and extend Detroit’s lead:

Finally, Detroit’s offense showed signs of a breakthrough and managed to hold it throughout the first half.

Detroit defense is making huge plays too

It wasn’t just Detroit’s attack that led the attack in the first half of the game, but defense that set the tone as well.

The best example of this from the game was Charles Harris who collected safety in the first half with a big bull rush. With Washington backing near the end zone, Harris got the ball and played:

In addition to Harris, the Lions managed to dump rookie Aidan Hutchinson for a few sacks, his first in the NFL.

Add it and attack and defense beautifully complement each other for lions. This is something that has been rare to see over the years, but as people know, it could mean that the Lions are a dangerous team this season.
